LET BEAUTY BLOOM
Seasons of Bloom, the floral display commemorating Gardens by the Bay’s 10th anniversary, pays homage to the various flower seasons that have been shown to visitors over the past decade. In the spirit of the season, 10,000 Christmas ornaments used in the floral display were hand painted by beneficiaries from The Salvation Army and Gardens by the Bay volunteers. Gardens by the Bay kindly extended an invitation to some of our beneficiaries to attend the launch of Gardens by the Bay’s 10th anniversary celebration. DPM Lawrence Wong, President Halimah Yacob, Minister for National Development Desmond Lee also graced the event with their presence.
It was an enjoyable and eye-opening experience for our beneficiaries as the event highlighted colourful blooms from four different seasons – spring, summer, autumn and winter. Some of our youths also had the opportunity to interact with Madam President and hung their hand-painted baubles onto a Christmas tree. Everyone goes through good and bad times and many of our beneficiaries are going through a challenging season. We are thankful to Gardens by the Bay for uplifting the lives of our beneficiaries and for giving them courage and hope for a better tomorrow.
